A bottle washed up in Croatia that was thrown into the sea 28 years ago. The message in a Bottle lay on the bank of the Neretva River, which opens into the Adriatic Sea.
The message in the bottle is addressed to Mary: “Mary, you really are a great person. I hope we can keep in correspondence. I said I would write. Your friend always, Jonathon, Nova Scotia, 1985.”
Nova Scotia is located in Canada, so perhaps it is also a message in a bottle that has made the longest journey ever.
Who Jonathon and Mary are is not yet known, but of course everyone hopes that it will be a story with a happy ending.
